Terms & conditions
Last updated August 7, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of Étincel, a remote MCP server and web app that trains an AI writing voice and serves it to MCP-compatible clients. By signing in or connecting to the MCP endpoint, you agree to them. If you're using Étincel on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. The service
Étincel lets you build a writing style, either from your own writing samples or from hand-tuned dials, and exposes that style to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any other MCP client you connect. Étincel is early-stage software provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, and the feature set may change as it develops.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the writing samples and style data you submit, and for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't use Étincel to train a style from writing you don't have the rights to use, and don't attempt to access another user's account or data.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't use Étincel to generate content that's illegal, defamatory, or infringing.
- Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the MCP endpoint or web app.
- Don't resell or sublicense access to Étincel without our written permission.
5. Content ownership
You own the writing samples you submit and the drafts any client produces using your style. We claim no ownership over either. See the privacy policy for how samples and drafts are handled.
6. Termination
You can stop using Étincel and delete your styles at any time from your library. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
